Colin and Jane have taken great care to restore the three classic bedrooms, Thistle, Heather and Hazel (the twin). Warm and comfortable, the rooms combine original features such as the Georgian fireplaces and polished flooring, with handmade Harris Tweed curtains and bed throws.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and complimentary fine Scottish soaps. A range of traditional and herbals teas, coffee and hot chocolate, as well Jane’s homemade Florentines are available in each room. Guests are also welcome to enjoy use of the large sitting room, with open fire, board games and DVDs. (Please note that we do not have disabled access to the rooms, as they are reached by the main staircase.)

This is our Hazel Twin Bedroom with En-Suite. Views from this room are wonderful in the summer: flowers in bloom, birds singing and hens strutting their stuff in their quarters nearby.

This is our Thistle Double Bedroom with En-suite. The views from this room are across the front lawn to the start of Dumyat; the nearest hill to Stirling in the Ochils range. We can thoroughly recommend the short walk from the Sheriffmuir Road up to the summit (information provided in this folder). The views capture the Firth of Forth to the east, and the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle to the west. You may even spot Powis House down below if you look very closely!

This is our Heather Double Bedroom with private vestibule and En-Suite. The views from this room are to the Ochil Hills and Menstrie to the east, and from the south-facing window across the garden and Ha Ha to our friendly sheep. In your bathroom you will notice a decorative cistern and toilet; these are the originals made by local tradesman in the Victorian period. The original cast-iron bath is rather quirky too, with its ornate plug/overflow (see below).
